How often do I come in? Anywhere from once a week to once a month depending on your phase of treatment.
Is Suboxone an opiate? – Yes. Buprenorphine is derived from the natural component of the opiate poppy called thebaine. Although less pain relief and euphoria may be experienced, buprenorphine is still addictive.
How does tapering work? – Standardized tapering schedules go against Southland’s treatment philosophy. Your individual tapering plan will be mutually agreed upon by yourself, your doctor, and your counselor.
Do you dispense? – No. Southland Recovery does not store nor dispense any medications.
Do you take walk-ins? – No. However same day appointments are generally available. Our schedule is structured so that no one must wait too long to be seen, we ask that you call before showing up.
Is outpatient Suboxone treatment effective? Yes. Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidenced based practice supported by years of research and data.
Is there a waiting list? – No. We are currently accepting new patients.
Do you require counseling? Yes. Counseling and psychotherapy are an essential component of the addiction treatment process. You may see our on-site counselor or use your own.
